The United States Power Squadrons®(USPS) is a national organization devoted to boater education and the fellowship of men and women who share a love of boating. It's 35,000 members nationwide are organized into over 350 local squadrons. District 29 (D/29) is comprised of seven squadrons in NW Ohio and NE Indiana.

With over 500 members in the District 29 area, we enjoy a wide range of boating related activities throughout the year including:

- Boating rendezvous on the Great Lakes, Ohio River, and inland lakes and waterways
- A wide array (over 30) of educational courses
- A variety of social activities at the squadron and district levels
- and, we conduct over 20 safe boating classes for the general public each year, educating 600 - 700 boaters in our geographic area
